A) THE ALLIANCES LONG-TERM GOALS
The ultimate purpose of the Abundant Assets Alliance UK (AAA UK) is to
tap the strengths of like-minded organisations and their members to ensure
that people across the UK have access to the developmental assets they
need to grow up healthy, caring, and responsible. To work toward this
vision, the AAA UK has three broad, long-term goals:
- To support the
transformation of local initiatives to be asset-rich resources.
- To help equip
local groups and organisations to be catalysts and partners for community
transformation
- To join with other
organisations across the UK to influence social norms and policies.
The AAA UK s primary approach is to build on and undergird the efforts of asset-building champions as they develop strategies to advance asset building in their own organisations and in their locations of work. It seeks to complement and strengthen, not replace, other asset building initiatives across the UK.

MEDIUM TERM GOALS
The Abundant Assets Alliance UK will seek to deliver these core objectives
through:
- Production of Case Studies
- Commissioning Research
- Instigating of an Annual Awards event of good practice
- Create Partnerships and Networks
- Production of Resources
- Government Lobbying

For
individuals,
agencies and organisations looking
to become a member
of the AAA UK, they need to agree to the terms within the
AAA UK Members Charter.
